HAMILTON ELECTED PRESIDENT OF AUPN DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATORS ASSOCIATION

Augusta, Ga. -- Bill Hamilton, Administrative Director of the MCG Neuroscience Center, was recently elected President of the Association of University Professors of Neurology (AUPN) Departmental Administrators Association.

As Administrative Director of the MCG Neuroscience Center, Mr. Hamilton is responsible for directing the clinical and research programs of the MCG Neuroscience Center as well as managing the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery at MCG. He was previously Department Manager for Neurology for seven years and also worked for Hospital Corporation of America in Aiken, S.C., for three years. Mr. Hamilton also holds master's degrees in Business Administration and Healthcare Administration from Georgia State University.

The AUPN Departmental Administrators Association is made up of more than 60 administrators from medical schools across the country. Co-sponsored by the AUPN and the American Neurological Association, its mission is to expand and share knowledge in the administrative management of the Departments of Neurology in academic medical centers in the U.S.
