MCG OFFERS SPECIALIZED EYE CARE IN WASHINGTON, GA

Augusta, Ga. -- Those with retina problems living in Washington, Ga., no longer have to face a long commute for diagnosis. MCG Eye Care Associates has begun offering specialized eye care consultations in that city.

Dr. Julian Nussbaum, Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology, began seeing patients in Washington in November at the office of optometrist Bill Robinson, who along with his associates provides comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery and LASIK to Washington residents. Prior to Dr. Nussbaum's arrival, those with retina problems had to travel to Augusta for diagnosis and care.

"It is part of this department's mission to go out into the community and provide patient-friendly services," said Dr. Nussbaum. "We are proud to support Dr. Robinson and look forward to serving the residents of Washington."

MCG Eye Care Associates currently has a satellite clinic in West Augusta, with another clinic slated to open in South Augusta later this year. They also offer retina consultative services in Aiken in partnership with Dr. Jatinder Singh and Southeast Retina Consultants.
