MCG Epidemiologist to Provide SARS Relief to Canadians

Augusta, Ga. -- Dr. Keith Woeltje, an epidemiologist at MCG Health System, today traveled to one of the SARS affected hospitals in Toronto to provide relief to Canadian physicians currently overwhelmed by the second wave of SARS. Dr. Woeltje returns to Augusta July 2.

Several weeks ago, the Canadians issued a call for American hospital epidemiologists to relieve help Canadian physicians working to get the Toronto SARS epidemic under control. Dr. Woeltje will replace a Johns Hopkins physician who has been working 90+ hours a week.
