MCG Health, Inc. Offers Critical Incident Stress Management Course

Augusta, Ga. -- MCG Health, Inc., Savannah River Site, Georgia Crisis Response and the Georgia Mutual Aid Group present a course in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) on September 11-12 and 17-19 at the MCG Alumni Center at 919 15th St.

The course is open to any person who is interested in learning more about crisis intervention techniques, including emergency services and disaster workers, safety and security officers, retail merchants, employee assistance program coordinators, human resources personnel, psychologists, social workers, counselors and military, industry and school system personnel.

Session 1, "Assisting Individuals in Crisis and Peer Support," takes place September 11-12. Session 2, "Basic CISM: Group Crisis Intervention," takes place September 17-18. A Team Development Workshop will be held on September 19.
