EDWARDS NAMED ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICESNovember 9, 2004Augusta, GA Dr. Drew EdwardsDrew Edwards, Ed.D., has been named Administrative Director of Behavioral Health Services for MCG Health, Inc.

Dr. Edwards is responsible for providing overall leadership, management direction and administration of all behavioral health-related services.

Prior to joining MCG Health, Inc., Dr. Edwards was in private practice in addictive disease and behavioral health in Jacksonville, Fla. He was also a behavioral health writer and consultant. Previously, he was an administrator at the Center for Health Outcomes and Improvement Research at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Fla., and Associate Director of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida Brain Institute. Dr. Edwards has more than 20 years’ experience in health care and health care administration.

Dr. Edwards holds a Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Science in Addiction Studies from the University of North Florida, a Healthcare Administration Certificate from the Institute for Executive Development, and a Bachelor of Elected Studies from the University of Minnesota.
