McVICKER NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF PATIENT CARE AND CHIEF NURSING OFFICER

Augusta, Ga. -- Sandra McVicker, RN, was recently named Senior Vice President of Patient Care and Chief Nursing Officer for MCG Health, Inc.

McVicker will oversee patient care services at the MCG Medical Center and the MCG Children’s Medical Center, including adult and pediatric patient care services, pathology/laboratory, radiology, pastoral care, patient transport, case management, utilization management, histocompatibility and tissue bank.

McVicker has been with MCG since March 1997. Most recently, she was Director of Clinical Resource Management Programs. Her prior roles have included Patient Planning Supervisor and Director of Utilization Management. With more than 30 years’ experience in nursing and health care management, McVicker has held increasingly responsible roles in the areas of patient care services, risk management and nursing.

McVicker is a member of the Georgia Society for Clinical Resource Management and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Delta XI chapter, a nursing honor society.
