MEEKS NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF PEDIATRIC PATIENT CARE SERVICES

Augusta, Ga. -- Barbara Meeks, RN, MSN, was recently named Vice President of Pediatric Patient Care Services for MCG Health, Inc.

Meeks will be responsible for overseeing pediatric patient care, pediatric perioperative services, rehabilitation services and pediatric respiratory care services.

Meeks is the former Administrative Director of Pediatric Services at the MCG Children’s Medical Center. She has been at MCG since 1989 and has nearly 25 years’ experience in health care, including an extensive background in pediatric nursing and administration.

Meeks is a member of the American Hospital Association Governing Council of the Section for Maternal and Child Health. She chairs the Georgia State Emergency Medical Services for Children Advisory Council, Region 6, and is Past President of the Society of Pediatric Nurses, Augusta chapter, and a member of the Georgia Nurses Association. Meeks is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Society of Pediatric Nurses. She is a past officer of the Ronald McDonald House Board of Directors and a graduate of Leadership Augusta, Class of 2002.
