Halloween Costume Donations Needed for MCG Children's Medical Center PatientsOctober 6, 2005Augusta, GA

The MCG Children’s Medical Center is requesting donations of new Halloween costumes for hospitalized children.

"Every Halloween, the child life staff takes all the patients trick-or-treating around the hospital departments. Last year more than 150 hospitalized children and their families participated in this special event," said Katie Lawhead, Child Life Specialist and Coordinator of Community Donations. "Thanks to the generosity of the community, our children and teens enjoyed selecting and wearing their favorite costume."

The MCG Children’s Medical Center is seeking donations of new Halloween costumes, face paint, crazy hats and wigs in all sizes and varieties. Due to the hospital infection control policy, the center cannot accept previously worn costumes. All items should have tags still on them and be in their original packaging.

If you would like to make a donation, contact Katie Lawhead at 706-721-4392 or drop off a donation to the Family Services Development Office, BT 1964, MCG Children’s Medical Center.
