William B. Hamilton, Administrative Director of the MCG Neuroscience Center, recently became a Certified Medical Practice Executive in the American College of Medical Practice Executives. 

“Bill’s accomplishment is a mark of professionalism and demonstrates his expertise in the medical practice management profession,” said Patricia Sodomka, MCG Health, Inc. Senior Vice President of Patient and Family Centered Care. “The CMPE designation demonstrates that Bill has passed rigorous examinations in financial, human resources, information and risk management; planning and marketing; governance and organizational dynamics; and business and clinical operations.”

Since joining MCG Health, Inc. in 1992, Hamilton has held progressively responsible positions.  He holds a B.A. degree in Economics and History from Emory University, and earned Masters of Business Administration and Healthcare Administration degrees from Georgia State University. 

Hamilton’s professional affiliations include the American Academy of Neurology, American Association of Neurological Surgery, American Hospital Association, Medical Group Management Association and the American Academy of Neurology.  He is a fellow of the Advisory Board Company and serves on the Board of the Augusta West Rotary.
