For the second year, the Health Center Credit Union was a Champion sponsor of the MCG Children’s Medical Center through a $5,000 donation. Dr. Charles Howell, Chief of Pediatric Surgery (right), accepted the check on behalf of the MCG Children’s Medical Center from Stacy Tallent, President of the HCCU.

Champion sponsors help ensure the continuation of the unique inpatient and outpatient programs and services offered by the MCG Children’s Medical Center. This includes the Child Life Specialists, who strive to make a child’s visit as “normal” and fun as possible; specialized equipment made to fit a child’s smaller frame; and camps and other events for chronically ill children and their families.
