River Robbers Are Needed to Benefit CMCNovember 2, 2006Augusta, Ga.

There’s a new group of bandits in town, and they want your spare change.

The “River Robbers” campaign, benefiting the MCG Children’s Medical Center, kicks off this month and runs through December 13. Those interested can sign up to “rob” their friends, families and co-workers of their spare change to help raise money for patients at the MCG Children's Medical Center.

Each “River Robber” will receive a bandit bag for collecting change, a badge and stickers for those robbed.

This fundraiser is a precursor to the 6th Annual 104.3 WBBQ and 105.7 The Bull Cares for Kids Radiothon, which takes place December 14, 15 and 16.  “River Robbers” are invited to drop off their change at the MCG Children’s Medical Center during the Radiothon. Last year’s Radiothon raised more than $92,000 to benefit programs, services and equipment to help children receive the best health care available.

To sign up, please visit www.MCGHealth.org and click on the MCG Children’s Medical Center link, or call 706-721-3957.
