In order to maximize your chances of being considered for the right job, at the right time, in the right unit, we recommend that you review each of the helpful hints below.       

  • PeopleClick communicates to applicants through email. Each applicant will need a working, active email address. There are a variety of email sources on the market, some at no cost. Due to the volume of applications received, status updates of your application/resume will not be released by phone.
         
  • Applications / resumes that are submitted should include, at the minimum:
    • Contact information – active phone number, valid address, and an active email address.
          
    • Highest educational level obtained (examples are High School, Associates, Bachelor’s, Master’s, etc.)
          
    • Names and dates of each of the educational institutions attended. (Month / Year)
          
    • Provide all of your work / professional experience, using complete dates and the names of the companies where experience was obtained. (Month / Year)
          
    • List all certifications obtained and there expiration dates, include those required in the position posting. (RN, BLS, ACLS, NPR, etc.)
           
    • Address all posted requirements – outlining in your application / resume how your education and experience matches the posted requirements. (Be sure to review the position posting for each job applying for)
          
  • It is important that you provide us with a way to contact you. If an interview is warranted, you will be contacted either by email or by phone. It is best to check both sources periodically for messages. You will be notified by email, on the status of your application: when the application has been received and when the position has been filled.
        
  • If you need assistance or computer access, MCG Health has partnered with Goodwill and the Georgia Department of Labor to provide assistance with creating and updating resumes. Each facility has public access computers that are available with internet access.
         
  • Once your application /resume has been submitted, it will be reviewed by a recruiter.
                
  • After completing an online application, you will receive a password. Be sure to write down / record this password for future use. The password will allow you to go back at a later date, check the status of your application, and to revise your application and to apply for additional positions.
         
  • When applying for multiple positions, it is important that you write down / record the requisition number (for each position). This will assist you in tracking the application progress, up to the position being filled.
        
  • MCG Health’s pre-employment steps include:
    • Verification of accredited* education, licensure, and certifications
    • Reference checking on past and current employment.
    • Medicare fraud verification through OIG database.
    • Criminal background checks verification through Certiphi Screening.
    • A pre-employment physical with associated lab work conducted at MCG Health Employee Health.
    • Some positions may require a federal fingerprint background check.
    • Some positions may require web-based competency screenings.
