Your Child’s Meals
Because children of different ages have different nutritional needs and preference, meal selections may be made from daily menus. If no choice is made, the hospital’s Food and Nutrition Services will make age-appropriate selections for your child. Also, snacks are available for your child when requested. Your child’s specially prepared meals will be delivered at these times:
  • Breakfast - 8 - 8:30 a.m.
  • Lunch – noon – 12:30 p.m.
  • Dinner – 6 p.m.

Family Meals

McDonald’s is located on the first floor of the Children’s Medical Centeris and open seven days a week from 6:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.
They feature the McDonald’s regular menu, plus sandwiches and salads.

The Terrace Dining Room on the second floor of MCG Medical Center is open 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Features include:

  • Full breakfast menu from 7 – 10 a.m.
  • Short-order grill, salad and fruit bar, pizzas, comfort foods, soups and chowders, deli bar and fresh-baked temptations from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Vending
Vending machines in the CMC are located:

  • On the first floor, next to the CMC Conference Center
  • In McDonald’s seating area
  • In the family lounge area on the fourth floor

Additionally, a vending area with seating is on the second floor of the MCG Hospital, adjacent to the Terrace Dining Room.

There are several restaurants in the area that deliver to the Children’s Medical Center, including:

    Conveniently located across from the Children’s Medical Center in the MCG Faculty Building on Harper Street is the Sandwich Gallery. Open Monday through Friday, the shop offers sandwiches, a soup of the day and salad bar.

Other restaurants are located on Walton Way and Washington Road.
Foods and drinks other than those served by the hospital should not be given to your child without first checking with the nurse or doctor.
