Tarbutton Appointed to MCGHealth Board September 5, 2008 Augusta, GA-- Benjamin J. Tarbutton, III has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the MCGHealth Board of Directors. Tarbutton has served as a member of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia since 2006.
Tarbutton is Assistant Vice President of Sandersville Railroad Company, where he oversees daily operations, including maintaining infrastructure, train transportation and customer service. He earned a bachelor’s degree in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
He serves on the boards of directors for Sandersville Technical College, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Bank & Trust and on the Board of Trustees for Leadership Georgia. Tarbutton is a past chairman of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Sandersville Rotary Club and a past member of the Georgia Rural Development Council. He is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Georgia and a graduate of Leadership Washington County.
