The sixth annual Kelsi Long Memorial Ride was held on Saturday, March 22, 2008. Over 250 participants were involved and raised $6,500. The proceeds will go to the MCGHealth pediatric outpatient oncology/hematology clinc.

The ride is held in honor of Kelsi Elizabeth Long, who had Down syndrome and died shortly after birth. Although their grandchild did not live very long, her grandparents know that the MCGHealth Children's Medical Center would have been the only children's health care system able to meet her specific needs. Their mission is to help ensure MCGHealth Children's Medical Center is there for others who may require special care and support.

In 2007, over 185 motorcyclists participated last and raised over $6,200.
