MCGHealth Children’s Medical Center
Red Wagon Society

The Red Wagon Society is open to anyone who would like to raise money and volunteer for MCGHealth Children’s Medical Center. Members meet bi-monthly to plan annual fundraisers and learn about a service that our hospital has to offer. Members also host monthly bingo at MCGHealth Children’s Medical Center as a way to interact with patients.

Meetings
Meetings will be held the 1st Wednesday of every other month (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sept, Nov) from 12 p.m.- 1 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the children’s hospital. Each meeting will consist of learning something about the children’s hospital and a planning activity for annual fundraisers, bi-monthly service projects and monthly bingo.

Society Fundraisers

Service Projects
Bi-monthly each member will have the chance to volunteer their time doing community service projects for our hospital as well as other organizations. Examples would be Celebration Broadcast, Radiothon, 12 Bands of Christmas, Movies Under The Stars, Celebrity Waiter Luncheon, other fundraisers, or volunteer opportunities throughout the hospital.

Monthly Bingo
Each month, several members will volunteer to play bingo with the pediatric patients from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Society members will be responsible for set-up and facilitating bingo each month using the supplies provided and the prizes from Toy Drive.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Red Wagon Society, please call 706-721-3957.
