MCG LifeNet is part of LifeNet Georgia's nationally accredited* premier air medical transport program. MCG LifeNet and LifeNet Georgia are part of the LifeNet Division of Air Methods Corporation, the largest provider of air medical transport in the world with over 180 aircraft and hundreds of air medical professionals from coast to coast.

Our mission
LifeNet Georgia saves lives by providing accredited treatment and transportation of critically ill or injured patients en route to a higher level of care. We do this better than anyone else because of the competency of our crews, the reliability of our equipment and the safety of our operations.

State-of-the-art care
Onboard our state-of-the-art airborne critical care units are an experienced critical care flight nurse and paramedic team, under the direction of MCG Health System’s elite trauma and critical care physicians, linked by high-tech communications equipment. Capable of speeds up to 140 miles per hour, MCG LifeNet's modern helicopters are flown by veteran pilots with advanced FAA certifications and thousands of flight hours. Back-up aircraft for multiple trauma victims and
critical care patients are available from LifeNet Georgia's fleet of helicopters throughout north Georgia.

Each of our experienced medical crew members hold advanced clinical certifications and are recognized expert instructors in a variety of courses. We can assist you with your training and education needs in advanced clinical courses like ACLS, TNCC, PALS and PHTLS. For pre-hospital and first-responder teams, as well as hospital critical care providers, we offer comprehensive training in Flight Criteria, Aircraft Orientation and Landing Zone Preparation and Security.

Dispatch is available around the clock through the LifeCom communications and aircraft tracking command center. MCG LifeNet can fly to any hospital necessary to meet the advanced care needs of the patient. Often, we can help arrange acceptance and admission for the patient at the receiving facility. Our training and experience in pre-hospital settings makes us uniquely qualified to assist emergency medical services with on-scene trauma.
